By now you should have received an email from the Citadel Alumni Association (CAA) with the online link to register for our 40th Reunion. Thank You to our 62 classmates who have already completed the registration process. If you did not receive an email from the CAA, please send us an email to cid81reunion@gmail.com and we will send you the link.We wanted to highlight a few points.Registration will close on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. This is earlier than normal, however, necessary due to supply line concerns from our 40th Reunion souvenir vendors. Please register on-line before September 1, 2021. Although the Registration price does not change after this deadline, there is no guarantee that you will receive any of our souvenir items after this date.As of today, the shuttle buses to the Saturday Evening ‘81 Oyster Roast are full. If you have pre-registered for a seat, your seats will be held until the Registration deadline of September 1. After that date, you will lose your seats. Going forward, any classmate who requests a seat on the shuttle buses will be placed on a waiting list. After September 1, we will determine if there is sufficient demand for a third bus or van. We will notify you at that time of our decision and if necessary, collect payment.Our class shirt is a Columbia long sleeve fishing shirt (PFG). Please ensure you select your correct size as unlike in previous reunions, we will be unable to make exchanges.As a reminder, we are limiting the number of guests that can attend those events made possible by the generosity of our classmates.• Thursday Night Social – classmate plus one• Friday Afternoon Campaign Social – classmate plus one• Saturday Evening ‘81 Oyster Roast – classmate plus threeAt our last reunion, The Citadel established a rule that everyone attending a class reunion tailgate must have a football ticket to get into the tailgate area. This includes wives, guests and children. This is The Citadel’s rule not ours, but it will be enforced. Our class block of football tickets will be directly in front of our tailgate area on the North Terrace. As in previous reunions, football tickets must be purchased directly from The Citadel Athletic Department ticket office. When the Athletic Department releases the link, we will send it to you.If you will be unable to join us in Charleston in November, you can still order our 40th Reunion souvenir items. Simply register and pay on-line, but do not sign up for any events.
